Personal Data

Milestone Tracker is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. All data remains on your device.

Data Stored Locally

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Counter names and descriptions
  • Start dates and reset dates
  • Custom colors and preferences
  • Goals and milestones
  • Reminder settings
  • Onboarding completion status (using UserDefaults)
  • Notification identifiers for scheduled reminders

This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework and UserDefaults, and remains entirely on your device.

How We Use Your Information

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to your information. The data you enter is used solely within the App to:

  • Display your counters and track time periods
  • Calculate days, weeks, months, or years since events
  • Show progress toward your goals
  • Schedule local notifications for reminders (if permissions granted)
  • Provide calendar visualization of your milestones

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with third parties. Since no data leaves your device, there is no data for us to share.

Data Security

Your data security is important to us. All data is stored locally on your device and protected by iOS's built-in security features, including:

  • Device-level encryption when your device is locked
  • App sandboxing to prevent unauthorized access from other apps
  • Secure data storage using Apple's frameworks

iCloud Sync

The App currently does not support iCloud sync. All data is stored locally on your individual device only. Each installation maintains its own separate data.

Notifications

The App uses local notifications for reminders:

  • Notifications are scheduled locally on your device
  • No notification data is sent to external servers
  • You can enable or disable notifications in Settings
  • Notification permission is optional and only requested when you create reminders

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services or analytics platforms. We do not use:

  • Analytics services
  • Advertising networks
  • Social media integrations
  • Crash reporting tools

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for users of all ages as no personal information is collected or transmitted.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your information. You can:

  • View all data stored by the App within the App itself
  • Edit or delete any counter or information at any time
  • Delete all data by uninstalling the App
  • Export your data using iOS's built-in sharing features
  • Control iCloud sync through your device settings

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
